Prepare your rental
A camping safari needs straightforward, precise planning. Before booking, distinguish the equipment supplied with your configuration, requested options and items you bring yourself. The list below helps check your offer; it does not mean everything is automatically included.
Sleeping arrangements for each person
Start with sleeping capacity and the proposed solution: rooftop tent, ground tent or another confirmed setup. Check dimensions, mattress, bedding and tent access. For a group, allocate sleeping spaces before departure to avoid a surprise at your first camp.
Request a demonstration of opening, closing and packing away. Also check how to protect belongings during setup and what to do before driving again.
Cooking and meals
Make a list of the number of plates, cutlery and containers appropriate for your group. Confirm the cooking solution, fuel and usage rules. A table, chairs and practical storage can significantly affect comfort.
Ask how to carry drinking water and provisions. If a cool box or fridge is offered, check its capacity and operation. Do not assume equipment is included because it appears in a photo of another vehicle.
Vehicle-related equipment
During handover, identify the spare tyre and the equipment supplied by the rental company. Ask what you can use yourself and when to contact assistance. Having a tool does not replace clear instructions or technical skills.
Check storage and access to items you will need during the day. Loading must leave the intended seat and seat belt available for each passenger.
What you prepare yourself
Bring clothing, toiletries, personal medication, suitable protection, individual lighting and charging equipment. Adapt your list to your dates and regions. For medical needs, consult a professional before travelling.
Include shopping and campsite selection in your itinerary. Confirm reservations, available facilities and camp rules; do not plan to camp freely in a protected area.
Joint inspection at departure
Count the equipment with the team, review the inventory and immediately report anything missing or damaged. Keep a copy for vehicle return.
