Two weeks allow a more in-depth loop with Samburu or a coastal extension via Tsavo. Confirm distances, overnight stays and vehicle return before booking. Allow an extra day before your flight.

Day 1 — Arrival and preparation in Nairobi
Keep this day for arrival, your first night and departure preparations. Vehicle handover and briefing can be scheduled according to your arrival time, after confirmation. Check equipment and documents, then prepare your first stop.
Day 2 — Drive to Amboseli
Build the day around driving and settling in. Confirm the route, entrance gate and accommodation access before setting off. Plan breaks and extra time: an activity on arrival depends on how the day unfolds and applicable rules.
Day 3 — A day in the Amboseli area
A second night in the same place limits packing and moving. Organise your day around authorised access and local instructions. If choosing a guided activity, check its booking and price separately.
Day 4 — Travel to Tsavo West
Consider this stage carefully. Your route depends on the accommodation you leave, your booking in Tsavo West and current conditions. Do not fix a single driving time without this information. Treat it as a travel day, with arrival planned before dark.
Day 5 — Discover Tsavo West
Another night locally allows more time for the park. Ask for current information on access, authorised routes and the places you wish to visit. Your plans must account for internal distances and your starting location.
Day 6 — Return to Nairobi
Plan the return and final night with extra time. Confirm return arrangements, fuel and your appointment. Returning the day before your flight reduces reliance on a last-minute drive.
Day 7 — Vehicle return and departure
Allow the necessary time for the vehicle inspection and planned transfer. Confirm the appointment according to your flight and return location.
