Insurance and security deposit
Kenya and Uganda. A security deposit, refundable according to the contract, is required with both options and is separate from the rental price and excess.

The zero-excess option remains subject to the rental contract. Exclusions include negligence, driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs, prohibited areas, submersion, incorrect fuel, single-vehicle rollovers and camping equipment. It therefore does not cover every type of damage.
4x4 delivery and collection in Nairobi
Delivery and collection charged separately. Free pickup and return at our Utalii Street liaison office in central Nairobi. Appointment to be confirmed.

One-way return on the Kenyan coast
One-off fees for departure from Nairobi and return on the coast. The location and date must be approved before booking; your quotation confirms the total.

How much do campsites cost in Kenya?
Per non-resident adult, per night; double for two adults. Park entry, vehicle, reservation and ranger fees are additional. Reconfirm amounts for your dates.
If Laba Africa pays on your behalf, these amounts include USD 2 for M-Pesa processing and receiving funds. For direct payment, check the campsite rate with its operator.

Cross-border travel: COMESA extension
The COMESA cross-border insurance extension costs €60 per rental / trip. This covers the insurance extension. Border crossings require our prior approval and vehicle documents appropriate to your route. Send the countries, itinerary and dates before booking.

Services in Uganda and vehicle return from Kigali. ViaVia: passenger transfer organised by the lodge and coordinated by our team. Entebbe: vehicle delivery.

Start with a detailed quotation
For a suitable proposal, prepare your pickup and return dates, group size, main stops and preference for camping or other accommodation. Include your arrival time in Nairobi. A return elsewhere or a cross-border trip should be considered from the start.
Then compare the total for the same duration, rather than a single “from” rate. Ask for vehicle rental, options, delivery and any return fees to be listed separately. An extra day or configuration change can affect the total.
Our booking and rental conditions
Laba Africa’s rental conditions require a non-refundable 10% deposit, with the balance paid 14 days before departure. No refund is provided for cancellation or postponement within 14 days of departure, or for early vehicle return.
Only drivers authorised in the contract may drive. Return must take place by 7 pm unless specifically agreed otherwise, with the agreed fuel level. Border crossings require written authorisation and additional COMESA cover. The Suzuki Jimny is not offered for Masai Mara itineraries. For this destination, choose a Land Rover Defender or Toyota Land Cruiser. The Jimny is an option for Amboseli, Naivasha and Hell’s Gate, Samburu, Tsavo or Magadi, depending on the season, road conditions and route approved by our team.
Equipment quantities, mileage, handover fees and vehicle-specific conditions should always appear in your offer.
Trip costs beyond the vehicle
Budget separately for accommodation or campsite pitches, meals, fuel, activities and entry fees for the areas visited. Park fees can depend on several factors; consult the official source applicable to your dates and circumstances. Do not consider these expenses included in a rental unless confirmed in writing.

An offer that is easy to compare specifies the same number of days, capacity and equipment. If information is missing, ask before booking. The best choice meets your route’s needs with understandable conditions.
